Box squat cluster set

This is a video of a box squat using cluster set training. A cluster set (rest pause set) is where you perform a heavy weight for multiple reps, usually 3-5, with rest periods of 10-30seconds rest between each rep. This generates less fatigue than straight sets and generally allows you to lift heavier weight for more reps. This method is good for breaking strength plateaus.

Here I am performing box squats  a rep count of a 3-2-1 tempo. This basically maximises the eccentric portion of the lift and gives greater strength gains!
